Spring in Texas
Spring in Texas is my absolute favorite. Bluebonnets line the highway medians and fill the tucked-away fields off old dirt roads. The world is waking up and you can feel the warm breeze bringing new beginnings. A fresh start. This is a new beginning & thank you Jesus for new beginnings!
I’m a Senior in High School this year and I’ve been waiting for a new beginning all year: attending Ouachita Baptist University in the Fall! There’s joy and anticipation surrounding this big change. Uncertainty and a little bit of fear are also there. But, if I’ve learned anything from 2020 it’s that fear and anxiety are no place to camp out. My Jesus provides a hope and a future that may look nothing like my plans and expectations, but that’s where the faith comes in! He can do immeasurably more.
So, I take one more step. I start the website, book the shoot, follow His lead, and surrender. That’s where this blog post comes in! Welcome to my new corner of the internet. I love the beautiful, real moments of life and that’s my goal with every photo. I picked up a camera because, as I began to notice the individualistic, imperfect but beautiful moments and people in my life, I found myself wanting to capture it. To take the moment and hold it close; to keep it in my pocket and go back to remember the simple beauty. We all have those pictures, even if they aren’t perfectly framed or well-lit, we cherish them because of the memory associated with the photograph. That’s my goal: to curate images that capture you and your memories well, Images that you will keep close and cherish. ...but this time they’re perfectly framed and you’ve got that golden hour glow!
So, here’s to Spring in Texas and new beginnings and doing it all by faith, one step at a time.
All my love, Mads
